Freshman Applicant Requirements:

                       

 

High School Transcript            

 

In addition to completing the general application, applicants must submit an official copy of the high school transcript showing completion of 16 Academic Units as listed below:

 

                          *          English - 4 Units

                          *          Mathematics - 3 Units (through Algebra II)

                          *          Laboratory Science - 2 Units

                          *          Social Science - 2-3 Units

                          *          Additional College Preparatory Courses - 4-5 Units from any of the above categories

                         

There is no minimum grade point average, SAT score, or rank in class required for Admission. All academic components are considered as a whole when an Admissions decision is made.

 

The average matriculated student (2004-2005) holds a 3.00 GPA, a rank in class of 67% (top 1/3) and a 1050 CSAT score (Math and Critical Reading scores only; William Paterson University does not consider the writing section).

 

Standardized Test Scores

                 

Official results of either the SAT or ACT must be sent to the Office of Admissions.  The SAT code is 2518; the ACT code is 2584. Both tests are accepted.
